Download & Play
Step 1: Download the game client. It is a windows installer file (msi).

Step 2: Start the installation: Double-click the downloaded file or select "run" from your download menu. Follow the instructions during the installation process.
Step 3: Open your windows start menu or home screen. Select "Darkfire RPG 1.1.1".
If something does not work, please write a report in the "bugs" forum.
Installer and executable are both signed with a digital certificate named "Andreas Vogl", issued by Comodo. A genuine game client, signed in this way, has been checked against viruses and will not contain any third party software. (Exempted are common Microsoft libraries, such as DirectX.)
Step 1: Install a Java Runtime Environment (JRE), version 7 or later.
In order to check if Java is already installed, type on the command line:
java -version
If Java hasn't been installed yet, execute the following command:
sudo apt-get install default-jre

Step 2: Download the game client. It is an executable java archive (jar).

Step 3: Start the game by double-clicking on the downloaded file "Darkfire RPG 1.1.1.jar".
In case double-clicking doesn't work, you can alternatively type on the command line:
java -jar "Darkfire RPG 1.1.1.jar"
